Rajma curry

Rajma is always popular dish among punabi’s made with red kidney beans the key ingredient is rajma masala powder.Its commonly made during lunch or dinner, it’s my hubby favorite so i made on every weekend..
Rajma is a Hindi logo for red kidney beans.I prefer to use red beans u can use black beans also.

Preparation time: 8 hrs (soaking time)

Cooking time : 30 minutes

Serving : 2

100 gm Rajma

2 medium onions

3 medium tomatoes puree

1tsp ginger and garlic paste

Salt as per taste

1 tbs rajmaha massala

1tbs oil

Firstly, soak the rajma for overnight in morning boil it, while boiling add salt and pressure cooker over 4-5 whistle or until it turn soft.Drain excess water from cooked beans and keep both water and rajma for later use.
Heat oil in a pan add onion, ginger and garlic paste.

Once onion done then add tomato puree, if u want u can add tomato sauce also in puree.

Add Rajmaha masala and fry well.

Add rajmaha and cook for 10mins.

Add water and boil for 10 mins , garnish with green corainder.

Serve with hot jeera rice.

Tips and Variations:

* Use red kidney because they take less time while cooking.

* Replace tomato puree with chopped tomatoes .

* Always cooked masala on a low flame.

* You can soaked rajma in a hot water also for 3-4 hrs bt prefer soaked overnite.
